Originating from New Zealand in the mid 1990s, Zorbing, Sphering or Globe Riding has become a popular team building or away day activity in recent years as it combines fun, excitement and hilarity.
Zorbs are large tough transparent plastic balls made from two sections – essentially one ball inside the other with an air pocket layer between which creates a shock absorber for the rider. They are lightweight and flexible and are either harnessed or not harnessed. Typically measuring about 3m in diameter, riders get in and out of Zorbs by climbing through one of two tunnel-like entrances.
Zorbing is a unique, fun and memorable team building activity which is completely mobile and can be run at any suitable outdoor space throughout the UK. The activity can also be tailored to meet specific objectives and fitness levels.
Zorbs can be used for a variety of team building activities including Zorb Racing and Zorb Football (see below) although they can just be hired on a 'have-a-go', non-competitive basis.
> Inspires and Motivates Staff
> Boosts Morale
> Builds Confidence and Self-Belief
> Encourage Team Bonding

Benefits Of Zorbing
Also known as Bubble Football, Zorb Football is slightly different to Zorbing and Zorb Racing in that players are strapped inside an inflatable body zorb. The zorb protects players from their head down to their knees, meaning their legs are free to run around to play a normal game of football…with a twist. Typically run as a 5-a-side football match, Zorb Football rules are the same as a normal football game however contact is encouraged meaning that players will fall over and roll around on the floor before getting up to continue playing.
Positioned in an inflatable arena, Zorbs are used for participants to race as fast as they can around the 'track'. Riders are not harnessed to allow them to run inside the zorbs. A fun and entertaining event both to take part in and to watch as participants fall over and lose traction…or both! Participants must overtake and outpace their fellow racers around the track in order to claim victory. Zorb Racing activity includes Zorbs, event staff and inflatable arena.
